Getting a credit card that offers cash back always sounds like a good idea. What could be better than getting cash back on all the purchases that you make with your credit card? It sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?

Well, there are cards that give you free cash, but it is usually only around 1% cash back. However, free money is free money, right? Well, sometimes.

If you like to buy a lot of things in one month, this kind of credit card probably sounds great to you. However, you need to keep in mind that they are not going to give you cash back on every purchase that you make. Even if they claim to give you cash back on every purchase, they will only give you up to a certain amount per transaction. The company also has a strict limit on the amount that they will give back to their customers. If you read the little, bitty print on the form that you signed, you will see a paragraph with their limits in the terms and agreements.

This is another way to try to draw in new customers for these companies. It is a good credit card to have and sounds great in theory, but they will have to check your credit rating before they will give you their card.

Research different credit card companies to see what they are offering. You may be surprised to find a cash back credit card that offers you just what you need and want with a high cash back percentage, few limits on the amount they will give you back, and instant cash deposits when you make each purchase with their card.

Although these credit cards seem like a great thing to have, some companies will need your credit rating to be great too. However, there are credit card companies that offer these cards to people with a low credit rating to help them rebuild their credit. Research all of your options.

What should your decision be? If you have a good credit rating, then this card is a great option for you. Research different card companies – there are cards out there that offer you up to 3% cash back and impose very few limits. If, however, you have a bad credit rating, you may want to find a credit card that will help you rebuild your credit.

With the proliferation of the Internet technology, everything revolves in a fast digital world of information technology, and credit cards had continuously dominated the scene with tremendous rate.

Today, credit cards had already brought shopping online. The convenience it brings to the people had made the credit card industry more than a phenomenon. And where people usually buys, businesses follows. And with e-commerce rapidly saturating the Internet, having a credit card merchant account is the name of the game.

But what is a credit card merchant account? Why is it that businesses consider it as a must-have feature on their online business?

Basically, a credit card merchant account is an account that entrepreneurs put up with a bank so as to enable the firm accept credit card payments from their customers. This goes to show that whether it is a small business or a home business, it is a must for every industry to have a credit card merchant account.

Credit card merchant accounts are effective ways in increasing the sales of a business. This is because credit card merchant accounts entice people to buy on impulse. Therefore, because of the convenience credit card makes, the business will be able to attract more people to buy online, and when they want to buy, the business must have a credit card merchant account so as to accept the buyer’s credit card.

Moreover, credit card merchant accounts can also accept payments by phone and fax. Therefore, it gives the business more flexibility in dealing with payments.

However, getting a credit card merchant account is not that easy. The approval of an application on a credit card merchant account is dependent on the relationship of the business to its bank. This means that if the business is still new, it might have experience some difficulty in obtaining a merchant account.

Nevertheless, credit card merchant accounts are still considered as a crucial element in one’s online business. It is the only way to maximize the business’ potential online. Plus, there is definitely no other way to provide additional payment option to the online customers than what credit card merchant accounts can do.

Basically, experts contend that when people find it easy to buy online and doubly easy to pay the items online, then, chances are they would be more than willing to buy it instantly. And that is the main attraction of the credit card merchant account, to create a “buy now’ phenomenon.

Nowadays, businesses are more technology-wise, and where money is the subject matter, credit card merchant accounts is the name of the game.

Credit cards are a high demand nowadays, since everyone has them. Grandmas, grandpas, dads, mom, and even students are getting credit cards. If you are one, that is demanding a credit card then there are a few things you should know to get you started. Countless of the applications for credit cards have a terms & agreement attached and chasers should with awareness read each fine print before applying. Most cards have added fees to fight the funding terrorism campaigns and money laundering tricks.

In addition to these additional fees, you will see a rate per employ of your credit cards. Included in the terms & agreement plans are features and service précis, balance transfer disclosures, credit disclosures, and fees. The annual percentage rate {APR} for purchases are highlighted in the terms and agreements. Supplementary APRs are listed as well as variable rates. Grace periods, repayment of balance and so forth are supplementary to credit cards terms. Annual fee is a technique for computing the balance on purchases. Minimum finance charges and transaction fees should also be appraised with awareness before filling out those credit card applications. Just as any application you fill out, you should until the end of time take care to read the fine lines and all the information offered to you to steer clear of signing off on something you will regret later.

What do I need to get a credit card?

What you may have to supply is a statement of your present and precedent wages for proof to receive card approval. You will need your driver license, social security number, pay stubs and credit history before applying for a credit card. Generally, this is all you will need to apply for a credit card, until you are accepted.

Be cautious of the credit card lenders that offer line of credit to person that have bad credit.

Many card offerings for bad credit often have fees upfront, or fees that are placed on your first month’s bill. Other lenders may present impending dangers and should be researched previous to applying. It pays to apply for credit cards from a company that is well known of its good deeds to the public. Places such as Capitol One have a high rating for their services, as well as other known credit card suppliers.

One of the best ways to investigate the company is to go online and search through the Better Business Bureau (BBB), or else visit other sites that make available information about credit card companies. Credit cards are a “trillion” dollar industry, but sometimes this is not enough. There are scores of companies charging spurious charges and over the heels interest rates. Few of the companies, such as “MBNA” are found to charge spurious charges to consumers, including high rates of interest. As you can see, reviewing the marketplace, background checks, and comparing is part of keeping your self-free of tricks without treats. Some card lenders will propose fraudulent insurances that claim to cover frauds or damages and the policies mount up to the customer paying in the end; also, the companies are notorious for tossing in extra penalty charges, simply because they believe they can get away with it. The marketplace is a dangerous place, since all the criminals are not in the Hood, or stricken with poverty, or else coming from dysfunctional homes, like the law wants you to believe, rather the true crooks are sitting high in offices taking advantage of everyone, using the less fortunate as a cover-up.

After studying the law for some time, I concluded that looking for crooks in nooks is wasting valuable time, since most crooks are overseeing your funds. Personally, I feel that people can live without plastic coated cards, however if the card is in demand, then play at your own risk.

There are all types of cards available, including student credit cards, senior credit cards, secured and unsecured cards, and the list continues. Since more people are realizing that credit cards are where the money is, it seems everyone is taking a bit out of the chunk of cash.

Each and every year, many of us go on vacations. Vacations are a great way to relax, and get away from the everyday pressure of life. Over half of all American families take their vacation between April and September, meaning that they spend a lot of money on travel. Whether it’s international or domestic travel, you can spend a fortune before you actually realize it.

As we all know, traveling with cash or checks isn’t always a wise decision. Renting cars, flying in airplanes, or checking into hotels is a much easier task if you have a credit card. Even though you may decide to use your credit cards for big purchases only, you’ll find that the traveling experience will be a much smoother process.

Unlike cash or checks, credit cards make handling your documents and receipts much easier. If you purchase something, records from that purchase will be made with your credit card manufacturer, which you can always fall back on if something happens. Things can go wrong without notice, so you’ll always want a backup plan or something to have as proof in the event of a disaster. With a credit card, all you need to do is look back at your statement and you’ll find everything that you purchased in one easy to find location.

Credit cards are also much easier to handle and keep track of than cash. If you decide to go to a theme park or a resort, you’ll find that cash can be a bit bulky to handle. Carrying a large amount of cash can be hard to keep track of, even though it isn’t recommended. Credit cards use up less space, and you can keep them in your pocket. When you need to pay for something, you don’t need to count through your cash, simply hand over your credit card and sign your receipt.

If you don’t have any credit cards, you can always get them for vacation purposes only. There are many benefits to having credit cards, besides the fact of them being easier to keep track of. There are many different credit cards out there to choose from, including those that will give you cash back or rewards when you make a purchase. Cash back is normally a small percentage of what you spend, and is given to you at the end of the month.

Some credit cards will give you reward points for every dollar you spend, which can be redeemed with several merchants offering a variety of products. Although cash back is always a great thing, many people find reward cards to be just as good. You can enjoy your vacation, buy just about anything you want, and know that the money you spend will help you to buy other things that you may need when your vacation is over. Actually, can you think of this as having your cake and eating it to.

All in all, credit cards can make your vacation easier than ever before. You can earn rewards and cash back with purchases you make using your card. Although you may think cash is the preferred way to go, there are several merchants who actually prefer credit cards. They are more professional, and easier for you to handle than cash or checks. They are easy to obtain as well, providing you have good credit. If you don’t have a credit card, you should look into getting one before you take your next vacation. All you need to do is look for your favorite company online and apply through their website – you’ll normally receive a response in a matter of minutes.

Over the years, credit cards have become very popular. When they were first introduced, they were popular, although these days millions of people use them. There are many types of credit cards available, including those that help people who have bad credit. You should always keep in mind that even though credit cards are great to have, they will also have quite an impact on your credit report.

The credit report is extremely important, especially when it comes to credit cards. Banks and lenders use your credit report to determine if you meet their criteria for a credit card or a loan. Your credit report is the determining factor for your credit, which is why you should never let your credit cards do any type of damage to your report. To avoid this, simply pay your bill on time.

Most people will use their credit cards responsibly and won’t damage their credit report. Doing this will show lenders that you are responsible, and that they can trust you with loans and credit – which in turn will raise your credit score. Keep in mind however; if you have a lot of open accounts, it may tell lenders that you have a lot open and that you won’t be able to pay them back. Although this may count as good credit, lenders look at several open accounts as being potentially damaging to your credit report.

Although you may be tempted to have more than one credit card, it can actually be a downfall in the eyes of the lender. Most lenders will see this as you having a way to spend all of your limit, and will fear that you may do so. Even though you may not have this intention, credit card lenders will almost always fear the worst case scenario, and it eventually lead to you damaging your credit score – simply because a lender will turn you down for a future offer you apply for.

Something else you need to keep in mind is the fact that it can be really easy to miss a payment on your credit cards. Although this doesn’t sound bad, it can have a very negative look on your credit report. If you start missing payments or paying them late, the lender will eventually enter it in your credit report. This can have a negative impact, lowering your beacon score and eventually bringing down your overall credit rating.

If you play it safe and only get one or two credit cards and keep a track of how you use them, you won’t need to worry. Your credit report should always be a primary concern, and you should always do your best to ensure that it stays free of negative ratings. If you keep up things up to date – you’ll enjoy the benefit of a positive credit report.

There are so many different types of credit card products available today that it makes choosing a credit card that is right for your needs very difficult. Choosing the right credit card to suit your individual needs can be made much simpler by taking the time to review the different types of credit card products that are available and picking one that has the features and the interest rate that you need. By taking the time to choose the credit card that fits your needs the most, you will end up saving money and time in the long run.

There are several different types of credit cards that an individual can choose from when looking for credit card products. There are cards that provide rewards or points for using the card and other cards that will help you save money by rounding off the amount that is charged to the card and placing the change in the individual’s saving account. There can be many differences between credit card products that seem similar and knowing the differences between the cards can help make your choice even easier.

It is important to research the different types of insurance products to see what features each type has to offer and which features available are right for your needs. Choosing a credit card based on the features available is easier than you may think as many of the credit cards available today have many of the same features with subtle changes, such as what you can redeem your rewards points for. It is important to choose a card with features that you will actually use as picking a card that offers rewards that you are not interested in is a waste of your time and money.

Once you are finished choosing a credit card based on the features that are available on the card, you will need to see which credit card companies are willing to offer you the best interest rate for the card that you desire. Many of the credit card companies will offer an individual a very low or 0% interest rate for the first several months to a year that the individual owns the credit card in order to lure the customer into signing up for their product. It is important to review the terms and conditions of the credit card to be sure that the interest rate will reset to a fair rate once the introductory period is over.

Different types of credit cards offered by different credit card companies will also have different credit limits depending on the company that the card is obtained from. One company may offer the individual a higher credit limit for their card as an incentive for the individual to choose to use their product. By researching the different types of credit cards available, you will be able to find the best card with the best features, lowest interest rate, and highest credit limit, a combination that has the ability to save you thousands of dollars over the time that you own the credit card.

It is also very important to read the terms and conditions for the credit card to see if there are any hidden fees that have been added to the card as a fee for obtaining the credit card. These fees may include annual fees, account set up fees, and account maintenance fees that are charged to the card automatically and are used to reduce the amount of credit that is available on the credit card. By taking the time to research the cards and choosing a credit card that is right for your needs, you will ensure that you are getting the right credit card that will cost you the least in the long run.

General tips on managing your bank credibility better

Your credit card information is the key to your financial life. Thus, it’s important to learn how to keep your credit card information safe and secure. There are many things that a thief can do with your credit card number. He or she could run up fraudulent charges on your account or even steal your identity. Credit card information for unsuspecting fraud victims is frequently bought and sold among criminals. That’s why it’s important to use extreme care when it comes to managing your credit card and other financial information.

There are several things you can do to protect your credit card information. First, handle your credit card receipts carefully. Keep them in a safe place until your credit card bills arrive. Then compare the receipts with the items on the bill. Once you have insured that there are no discrepancies, carefully destroy all the receipts. Shredding them is the safest way to destroy them, but if you don’t have a shredder you can rip them into tiny bits.

Some people think that destroying receipts is no longer necessary since many companies block out all but four numbers of the credit card on the receipt. However, not all the companies follow this practice, and not all companies block out the same four numbers, so a clever thief could piece the number together.

Another way to protect your credit card information is to immediately destroy old credit cards. It may be tempting not to take the extra trouble and to throw them away intact, but when you think about it, old credit cards contain all the information a thief needs to start making charges except the correct expiration date-and expiration dates aren’t exactly difficult to guess.

It’s also important to be careful who receives your credit card information. When you’re shopping online, for instance, stick with trusted companies that offer encryption. Big name companies like Amazon, 1800Flowers, and Target have reputations to protect and have the finances to provide a system that protects buyer information. Smaller companies may not be able to afford as many security precautions.

Never click on a link in an email to visit a company. Always type in the web address by hand. This is because some scam artists send phishing emails with links directing you to a site that looks like the real thing but isn’t.

Similarly, if you are ordering an item by telephone, it is wise to stick with well known companies. Don’t give out your credit card number unless you have called them. It is too easy for someone perpetrating a scam to call pretending to represent a charity or merchant. If someone calls you and asks you to give (or confirm) your credit card number by phone, hang up.

Finally, if you lose your credit cards or if they are stolen, report the loss or theft immediately. It’s important to keep a file in a secure place with a list of each credit card you own and the number for customer service. Although having credit cards stolen is a pain in the neck, you are usually not responsible for any fraudulent charges as long as you report the theft promptly.

Credit card information is a goldmine to thieves-it even has street value. That’s why it’s so important to keep your credit card information safe and secure.

If you’ve surfed around on the Internet, you’ve no doubt ran across many different credit card companies, offering you cards at what they claim are the best in terms of interest rates and fees. Credit card companies operate both offline and online, and you can even apply for your card directly through their website. Even though many people understand how this process works, there are some who don’t.

There are a lot of credit card companies who can process your application online instantly, or within a few minutes. Keep in mind that it doesn’t mean you can shop instantly, simply because you can’t print out your new credit card and take it out to the store. You can still shop, although you won’t be able to use your new credit card – you have to wait until it is mailed out to you.

Although your application will only take you a few minutes, you’ll still have to wait for your new credit card. It will be sent to you via mail, so you’ll need to a wait a few short days before it arrives. Online credit cards are a smart choice, as most will tell you instantly whether or not you’ve been approved. Even though you’ll have to wait on the card, it doesn’t take near as long as applying the old fashioned way.

When you compare the old fashioned method of getting credit cards to the online method, you’ll see some major differences. The first difference is the time, as it can take a long time to return the credit card offer to the company and receive a response. Snail mail can take forever when you are waiting on a response, especially if there are problems with processing your application.

The traditional method of getting a credit card won’t allow you to compare what other companies have to offer. If you choose to apply for your credit card online, you’ll have the option of looking at several different companies. This way, you can find the best deal for your money and know without a doubt that you found the best deal. There are literally hundreds of credit cards online, all you have to do is find one that interests you and apply for it.

Keep in mind that even though applying online is a great way to get credit cards, there are limitations on instant approval. As you may already know, online credit cards with instant approval are meant for those who already have good credit. Even though you may not have good or perfect credit, there are ways that you can get approved online. With the market being very competitive these days, there are some companies that will approve you regardless, just for the simple fact that it gives them business. A lot of online companies are looking to get more business, so they will let the line slide quite a bit, and approve almost anyone now days.

If you are looking for a credit card, all you have to do is look online. You’ll find many to choose from, giving you plenty of available options. Credit card companies are easy to find online, with there being more online than offline. Getting approved online for your credit card is easier than ever, as all you need to do is apply and wait for a response. With a little luck, you may end up getting approved. Once your application is approved, all you do is sit back and wait for your credit card to arrive – it’s as easy as that.

Everyday, there are hundred of commercials on the television, radio, and internet asking people to obtain their free credit report on line. Getting this free credit report is supposed to be easy and hassle free, but many individuals are finding that this is not the case. There is an easy way to gain access to a free credit report on line without having to go through some of the hassles that the other sites put you through and knowing the best way to obtain your free credit report can save you a great deal of time and money.

Many of the commercials and websites that you will find that are offering free credit reports are not really free at all. These websites will use your information that you submitted for your free credit report to enroll you into a credit monitoring service that they will charge you between $9.99 and $24.99 per month to be enrolled in. These websites will generally have very limited information about the mandatory enrollment in this service on their website and may only have a tiny disclaimer at the bottom of the web page about the service in order to remain legal.

The vast majority of individuals that attempt to obtain their free credit report from one of these sites has no interest in enrolling themselves in a credit monitoring service and often are unaware that they have been enrolled in the service until they begin to see charges for the service on their credit card statement. Individuals that do not check their credit card statements carefully may end up paying for the service for several months before they even discover that they have been signed up for the service. Removing yourself from the service is typically much harder than signing up for it and many individuals find themselves responsible for several months’ worth of charges by the time they remove themselves from the list.

This is why individuals should be very careful when attempting to obtain a free credit report on line and make sure that all of the information on the website is read carefully to ensure that there are no unpleasant surprises in store for you. In fact, there is currently only one website that is government approved to provide consumers will one free credit report from each of the credit reporting bureaus annually. The website is AnnualCreditReport.com and it is the only website that is known to provide a free credit report to an individual on line with no strings attached to the acquisition.

It is very easy to obtain your credit report on line from AnnualCreditReport.com. All you will need to do is go to the website and enter your personal information into the form, including your name, social security number, and address. The website will allow you to access your free credit report on line after giving you an access code to review the information, which will allow you to view the credit reports that you have chosen for as long as 6 months.

The smartest ways to use credit cards, business credit cards or otherwise, are also the sim

My award winning tips for eliminating your credit fever and ultimately enjoying your credit the right way

The smartest ways to use credit cards, business credit cards or otherwise, are also the simplest ones. The concept of plastic money was conceptualized thousands of years back, and has been an integral part of business transactions since centuries. However, the present concept of plastic – a card with a magnetic strip and offering instant purchasing power at almost all locations is hardly half a decade old. It was in the 1960 that an all purpose plastic card was conceptualized and since then it has graduated to become a pervasive tool that smoothens almost all transactions.

A plastic eases the entire process of buying or selling, but it also acts as an invisible slippery path that leads to a debt trap, and in worse cases, bankruptcy. Irresponsible users tend to misuse the purchasing power of plastic cards, and at the end of the day they are left with huge bills that they are unable to pay. This tendency of over spending and misusing plastic is particularly present among first time plastic users and young professionals who have just joined mainstream commercial activities.

Using credit cards smartly is as much an art as it is science. The first step towards a better usage of plastic is – be responsible. Being responsible is a tough job, especially so if you have a ready purchasing power of a couple of thousand of dollars at your disposal. When you are out on shopping, make sure you have a list of things that you need. Any urge to shop over and above that will lead to heartaches at the end of the month, and in extreme cases, missed payments.

One of the smartest ways to use credit cards is avoiding missed or delayed payments. Talking about missed payments, make it a point to pay your bills well within the deadlines. This way you save yourself extra charges and more important still, get a better credit record. A better credit record will mean cheaper loans and more attractive offers when you are out in the market to raise capital for personal or professional reasons. Financial prudence is like a strongly entrenched habit – once you nurture this habit you are sure to gain a lot. If you fail to do so, a small fortune through inheritance is what you should look forward to.

And finally, be safe that sorry. Credit-card frauds have caused millions of lost dollars, and a few simple steps can help you check that. If you are traveling abroad, especially in a third world country, it is recommended that you do not use plastic everywhere. Use it only if you think that the establishment is a genuine one. Otherwise, opt to pay in cash. Never ever keep your plastic in the open, or don’t give away the number to each and every internet site that asks for it. While most of those sites claim that they want that card number only to verify the age. However, in most of the cases credit cards users are conned as they realize at the end of the month that they have not been using the smartest ways to use credit cards.

Business credit can make a world of difference for your business. If you own and operate a business, chances are that you are looking into getting a business credit card for your business. When you have the option to charge things for your business, you are opening up what could be a whole new world. Especially if you are used to paying cash for any and everything that you need.

Why Would You Need a Business Credit Card?

Every business needs a business credit card. Even the smallest of businesses can use one and get many uses from it. When you have the option of charging your purchases and paying a monthly fee, rather than having to pay cash for everything that your business needs when you buy it, you are able to manage your money better in most cases. If you have a business education, then you are quite aware of this. Otherwise, this may be news to you. Setting up a budget for expenses and paying off your purchases in small payments rather than paying for things in huge cash amounts might make or break your business.

What Type Of Business Entity Uses Business Credit Cards?

All types of business entities can use a business credit card. You will find that an LLC, LLP, and also Incorporations can all benefit from a credit card. You can use your card to make major purchases such as business equipment, office supplies, business vehicles and so much more.

Important

One very important thing to remember when you are considering credit cards for your business is to keep your personal credit separate. Apply for a tax Id# from the IRS, and also a DUNS number for your business. You will find that having these two numbers to obtain a business credit card is important. Otherwise, the credit card companies will be asking for your social security number and putting your business credit under your personal.

Nearly everyone who has a credit card always has the goal of a higher line of credit. A higher credit card limit will enable you to make much higher purchases, normally purchases that you are unable to get with your current line of credit. There are ways that you can get a higher credit limit. Below, are some tips that will help you raise the limit of your credit.

The most important thing to do when improving your credit limit is to improve your overall level of credit worthiness. This tells banks and lenders that you can be trusted with credit, and that you are little to no risk for them. When lenders and banks look at your credit report, this is the first thing that they look for.

You can attract a lot of positive attention with a credit card company or bank with your finance purchases. You should pay them every once in a while, although you shouldn’t go out of your way to make a habit of it. Normally, this should be done as a last resort when all else fails to increase your overall chances of raising your line of credit.

Once you prove to a bank or credit card company that you can be trusted to borrow money, they may raise your line of credit. You should be careful with this strategy however, as this could only apply to your bank or current credit card company. Having a higher credit line may allow you to have more purchasing power, although it can also leave you with more fees and even an increase in your current interest and APR charges.

Another great way to increase your credit limit is to use your credit card every chance you get. When you have a credit card, don’t use it just for emergency purposes. If you save your credit card for emergency purposes only, you’ll rarely use it. When this happens, your company will begin to wonder about your spending behavior and ability to pay it back, therefore they will start to think twice about giving you a higher line of credit.

When you send in your payment, always try to pay more than just the minimum amount. If you can afford to, you should try to pay the whole outstanding amount. Doing so shows credit card companies and banks that you are striving for better credit. This way, you’ll show them that you deserve to have a higher line of credit.

If you follow the above tips, you’ll get your credit limit higher in no time at all. Once you get your limit raised, you should protect it at all costs. If you continue to strive for perfection – you’ll get a higher line of credit than you ever thought possible.

Rejection of credit card application

As time progresses, more and more people are joining the revolution called ‘Credit card’. Yes, it’s really a revolution. Now you don’t need to worry about how much cash you have in your pocket when you go shopping, just carrying this small piece of plastic (credit card) is enough to assure you of a good shopping treat. You can use your credit card to order things from the comfort of your home (on the internet). So the number of credit card applications seems to be on the rise. However, not every credit card application turns into a physical credit card. Some credit card applications get rejected too.

Let’s check why a credit card supplier would reject a credit card application when he has spent so much time and energy (and money) on wooing new customers.

One obvious reason for rejection of credit card application is human error i.e. the error committed by you in filling up the credit card application. These can be small mistakes like a wrong telephone number or wrong name or the postal code might be wrong. It’s normal to make mistakes, after all we are human being and no human being can be termed as perfect. Another strong reason for rejection of a credit card application could be missing mandatory information i.e. when you forgot to fill-in some mandatory information in the credit card application form. Sometimes, the credit card application could be rejected because the credit card application form has been filled-in in a handwriting that is illegible to the people processing your credit card application. At other times, the sales representative (of the credit card supplier) could have made a mistake in either depositing the form correctly or in guiding you in the filling of the credit card application form (newly hired sales representatives can make such mistakes).

However, these human errors are just minor errors that can be corrected later on and hence the only impact would be in terms of the delay in receiving your credit card. The main and the most important cause for rejection of credit card applications is bad credit ratings i.e. a negative credit history. If you have been using other credit cards or if you have taken bank loans/mortgages in the past, you would have already build your credit rating. If you have been making your bill/instalment payments in time (and in the correct amount), you would have already acquired a good credit rating. However, if you have been irregular or if you have been defaulting on your payment dues, you would have developed a bad credit rating. This credit rating is calculated by credit bureaus who receive feeds from various credit suppliers. All credit card applications are checked for the credit rating of the requestor and if it comes up as negative, the application is rejected outrightly.

So, these are the 2 most important reasons for rejection of credit card application and you must pay heed to them (especially the credit rating).

Description of a mode of payment over the internet

You may have heard that it is a bad idea to pay online for products. And it’s true that in the early days of the internet, sending your credit card information into cyberspace was risky. But today there are steps that you can take to ensure that your credit card information remains protected. In fact, far from being a bad idea to pay online with a credit card, there are many times when it’s actually a good idea. When making a major purchase, for instance, paying with a credit card can offer you protection against lost or damaged merchandise.

If you are planning to use your credit card online, there are a few steps you should take to be sure that your financial information stays in the right hands. First, try to shop on trusted sites that have a reputation to maintain. The better known the site, the more likely it is to be a legitimate merchant and not a site set up to scam unsuspecting customers.

Almost all of the large, well known sites like Amazon are set up to encrypt (scramble) information you send so that hackers can’t intercept it. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the most common form of encryption. If you’re shopping at a smaller site, check with them about the level of security they offer. One way to tell if a web site is encrypted is to look for a padlock at the bottom of the webpage. You can click on that icon to receive more information about the site’s security. If the padlock appears broken or open, it means that the site is not encrypted and you should be very cautious about giving out any financial information.

When you’re planning to pay online using your credit card, type the address of the website manually into your browser. Never follow a link from an email to a site where you plan to enter credit card information. This piece of advice will help you avoid falling prey to a “phishing” scam. A phishing scam involves sending emails that look as if they are from a well known website or merchant. The email may invite you to buy something. More often it says that your credit card information has expired and asks you to reenter it. But here’s the trick; when you click on the link to be taken to the merchant’s website, you’re actually directed to a dummy site that may look remarkably like the merchant’s website. The scam artist can capture credit card information received at this site and use it to run up fraudulent charges.

Another concern about shopping online is privacy. Just because you buy an item from a merchant doesn’t necessarily mean you want to receive their newsletter, email solicitations, phone calls, etc. Make sure that the “opt in” box for solicitations is not checked to avoid these unwelcome contacts. You are also under no obligation to answer any questions about your likes, dislikes, and hobbies, though many sellers try to slip these items in as part of the information you are asked to provide prior to check out. Usually the information you must provided is marked with an asterisk (*).

Being able to pay online with a credit card is far more convenient than having to send a paper check and waiting for it to clear. By following a few simple precautions, you can keep your credit card information safe while shopping online.

The ways to build corporate credit year by year

Building business credits is not rocket science. It is plain and simple common sense, a bit of planning and meticulous execution. Historically, small businesses are characterized by innovation, a lot of enthusiasm, nimbleness and also serious resource crunch, primarily cash crunch. Bigger business organizations have the luxury of higher cash flows, and hence they have more room for financial maneuvering. However, small businesses, despite all their business viability, tend to be in a disadvantageous situation due to lack of business creditworthiness.

However, most of the small business owners miss the point and end being in a bad credit situation. But before that, let us understand the nuances of business credit rating. Business credit rating is quite similar to personal credit ratings, the only difference being it is a business organization that is rated and not an individual. And just like personal credit ratings, better the ratings an organization enjoys, better are the chances of its getting cheaper loans and other resources.

One of the most frequent reasons why business credits get a beating is a singular and a simple one – business owners fail to differentiate between their business and personal expenditure. Countrywide, this factor is one of the most important factors that have led to hundreds and thousands of start-ups, small business and small home office companies suffering cash crunch. The simple step to solving this problem is compartmentalizing personal and business expenses. If the personal spending habits of a business owner are less than perfect, banks and lending organizations will like to see that this business owner does not mix up his personal expenditure with business loans.

However, building business credits is much more than just separating two accounts. As it is rightly said, the devil lies in the details. The next important step is verifying your ratings. Get your business credit records from all the three credit rating agencies and check them meticulously for any kind of errors. Once you have the numbers in front of you, get the scanning microscope and check for each missed payments, over spending and all other similar blips.

Credit reports are notorious for carrying wrong facts, and more often than not, the wrong fact tends to harm your credit rating. If you have identified any errors, get them rectified immediately. These rating agencies are open to feedback. However, if your claims are wrong or frivolous, they will over rule your dispute.

Once you have a clear picture of your credit status, formulate a plan to get out of the bad credit rating quagmire and execute that with zero deviation. For example, identify those loans that have the highest rate of interest, and make sure that you repay them as soon as possible. You will need to tighten your belts and cut down on your present expenditure to do so. Additionally, you have to make sure you cut down on your spending habits drastically. If you have been an impulsive buyer, make sure you plan your purchases before you hit the store. This will ensure that you will use your credits in buying what you need, and not necessarily, what you want.

As discussed above, all that you need to access cheaper source of capital is a bit of self-control and planning. Wish your endeavor in building business credits is a success!

We all know that criminals are out there, waiting to steal our credit card information. These very criminals want credit card information so they can run up the charges then leave you holding the bags – with nothing to show for it. Even though some are local, most credit card criminals are in far away lands. Worse than that, they like to hide or go by other names so it’s virtually impossible to track them down.

The most common way for criminals to get credit card information is through phishing, which involves a fake email that appears to be sent from your credit card company. Normally, this fake email states that there was an error with your account, or that it was accessed by unauthorized personnel and needs your attention.

Spotting fake emails isn’t hard to do – as long as you know what to look for. The most obvious hint for most, is the fact that they don’t even have a credit card from the company that has sent the email. For others, the link is what gives the fake email away. Anytime you get an email from a credit card that you believe to be fake, you should always hover your mouse over the link, then “right click” the link with the mouse and select “view source”. If the link is indeed fake, the website address that comes up will be something other than that of a credit card company.

The criminals don’t want you to look at the source for their website, as they simply want you to click on the link before you look at anything else. Once you have clicked on the link, you’ll arrive at a website that is usually an exact copy of a credit card website. Fake sites normally include everything that the actual site does, including the logos and banners. Even for the most amateur of credit card criminals, web pages like this are very easy to create.

Those of you who have fell victim to this scam, probably realized what you have done little too late. Once you have entered in your credit card information, you have done exactly what the criminals wanted and put yourself in violation of credit card fraud and identity theft. Once the criminal has your social security number and credit card information, he is more than likely to use that information to go on a shopping spree – stealing your money and running up your account.

If you receive an email such as this, you should always delete it. Even if you just click on the fake website to investigate, you may do more harm than good. Even though you may not enter any information at all, your computer may get infected with viruses or spyware simply because you clicked on the link. To avoid this altogether, you should never click on a link that you believe to be a fake credit card company website.

If you do your part and protect your credit card information, you won’t have anything at all to worry about. Your personal information is very important, as you never want it to fall in the wrong hands. As long as you protect it, you won’t have anything to worry about. There are always criminals out there, which is why you should always be on guard. Criminals want your personal information and your credit card numbers – it’s up to you to ensure that they don’t get it. A criminal will do anything to get what they want, which is why protecting yourself is so very important these days.

Is business credit card helpful?

‘Yes’ -is the answer that’s comes out almost immediately. That is true at least for most businesses (especially small businesses). Before we delve deeper into how business credit cards are helpful, let’s try and understand what a business credit card is.

Put simply, a business credit card is a credit card that is owned by a business and not an individual. To understand this better, you can simply draw an analogy between the business credit cards and business bank accounts, which are in the name of the business as well. Other than that, business credit cards work in pretty much the same fashion as the personal credit cards; with a few exceptions. These exceptions are in the form of flexibility in credit limit, low APRs and some other additional benefits that are available to business credit cards only.

Even from just that, business credit cards seem a good proposition. However, business credit cards would be attractive even without those benefits because the main benefit lies elsewhere. The big-big benefit from a business credit card is realised in terms of business expense accounting. For most small businesses, business expense accounting is a big overhead. With business credit cards, this is handled very easily – you just have to ensure that you make all your business expenses on your business credit card and let the personal expenses be on the personal credit card i.e. segregation of business and personal expenses is all you need to do. So the bill for your business credit card will have all the business expenses on it and you wouldn’t need to collate all the various bills or sort out the items from your personal credit card bill. The key here is to make sure that you use your business credit card for all your business expenses (or as much as you can).

Moreover, a lot of business credit card suppliers realise this need of small business and even organise the business credit card bills in a way that meets the accounting requirements of these businesses. So mostly, they will appropriately group the expenses on the business credit card bill so as to facilitate business expense accounting. In fact, some of the business credit card suppliers go to an extent of providing the bills in a format that can be downloaded and exported to an accounting system i.e. you don’t need to enter the data manually in your accounting system. In case the format is not suitable for your accounting system, you can hire a software professional to write a small quick program to convert it into a suitable format.

Thus just one reason – ‘facilitation of business expense accounting’, is enough to support the case of small business credit cards.
